All That Is Necessary For The Triumph Of Evil Is For Good Men To Do Nothing

Socialist International Congress Hosted by ANC Amid Genocide Alert (Old Post - relevant to Mandela)

Written by Alex Newman

The powerful global alliance known as the Socialist International held its 24th Congress calling for bigger and more centralized global governance as well as more handouts from productive economies. Meanwhile, the summit host, South Africa’s ruling African National Congress (ANC), is facing mounting international pressure over the genocide of white farmers and its increasingly overt communist ambitions.

The meeting concluded by adopting various resolutions demanding more money from Western taxpayers, bigger and more powerful government at all levels, and, unsurprisingly, more socialism in the world. “The Socialist International is now stronger than ever before,” the group boasted on its website after the Congress, sometimes referring to its members as “comrades.”

Aside from the controversial resolutions, bragging about its growing influence, and platitudes about “democracy,” there was a lot going on at the summit as well. It featured representatives from over 100 socialist and communist-minded political parties all over the world ranging from the Sandinistas in Nicaragua and the Algerian National Liberation Front (FLN) to European social democrats and Latin American statist extremists.

Communist-backed ANC South African President Jacob Zuma, who hosted the Congress and now regularly sings illegal songs calling for genocide against white South Africans, was elected as “vice president” on the “Presidium” of the controversial socialist alliance. His Deputy President, Kgalema Motlanthe, told delegates there was a “global crisis of capitalism and imperialism.”

Zuma, meanwhile, blasted the alleged "fundamental contradictions in the capitalist system," which he said needed to be addressed with "radical" so-called solutions. “We should emerge with radical positions and a radical agenda," added the controversial leader, who in addition to being an admitted member of the Communist Party has in the past been officially charged with massive-scale corruption and even rape. Ironically, one of his focuses at the Congress was “women.”

During a speech at the socialist Congress, Zuma said it was an honor to be allowed to host the summit “bringing together progressive forces from around the world,” Socialist International reported. The controversial ruler said the powerful socialist alliance should respond to “inequality” and other real and perceived problems — many caused by socialistic policies — with a “New Internationalism” and a “New Culture of Solidarity,” two main themes of the 24th Congress.

Even as Zuma and the ANC were celebrating socialism and calling for the death of what little remains of the free market, however, human-rights experts such as Dr. Gregory Stanton of Genocide Watch were sounding the alarm. In August, the widely respected non-profit group dedicated to stopping genocide warned about the ongoing genocidal killing of South African whites and the complete takeover by murderous communist forces associated with the ANC. The nation is now at stage six — planning and preparation — out of eight, with the final step being denial after the extermination.

"We are worried that there are organized groups that are in fact doing that planning," Dr. Stanton said in a recent press conference about the organized and barbaric massacres of white farmers throughout South Africa. "It became clear to us that the [ANC] Youth League was this kind of organization — it was planning this kind of genocidal massacre and also the forced displacement of whites from South Africa."

Few at the Socialist International conference were even thinking about those issues in their zeal to spread socialism around the world. However, the elephant in the room — the ANC’s alleged role in facilitating the ongoing slaughter of European-descent Afrikaners as it seeks total control over the once-prosperous nation — was hardly the only scandal looming large.

The summit, among other absurdities, featured speeches by representatives of the brutal communist dictatorship ruling mainland China and an assortment of other totalitarian regimes. “Vice-Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee” Liu Jieyi, for example, lectured assembled attendees on the “social democratic response to the financial crisis.”

The Chinese communist regime, of course, is notorious for mass-murder, censorship, forced abortions, failed central planning, political prisons, brutal suppression of religion, harvesting body organs from critics, and more. Delegates celebrated its increasing influence on the world stage as part of the socialist-minded BRICS alliance consisting of the governments ruling Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.

Then there was blatant adoration of the scandal-plagued United Nations bordering on the unbelievable. The newly elected Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, referred to the UN as the “the greatest collective achievement of human kind” during her keynote speech.

Dlamini-Zuma also spoke of the “importance of multilateralism.” She claimed that “humanity” could find “solutions to common problems” if only the world’s largely totalitarian regimes would just “cooperate more” — presumably through the UN, the corrupt African Union, the imploding European Union, and other multilateral bodies.

Even as the new African Union boss was celebrating the UN with Socialist International, however, scandals surrounding the controversial institution continued to grow as well. Some of the more recent UN problems blasted by critics around the world include sex crimes committed by its troops around the world, helping the communist Chinese dictatorship perpetrate forced abortions, handing U.S. technology to the regimes ruling Iran and North Korea, installing Sudanese mass-murderer Omar al-Bashir on the “Human Rights Council,” and much more.

As if the apparent comic lunacy could not get more bizarre, Socialist International unanimously re-elected as its president the former Socialist Prime Minister of Greece, George Papandreou, despite his central role in all-but destroying the Greek economy. Papandreou opened the 24th Congress by thanking its communist-backed host, the ANC, even as genocide fears continue to mount and the South African economy implodes.

Incredibly, after wrecking the Greek economy, Papandreou proposed a similar prescription for the world: more socialism. He claimed, for example, that the “market” should be “remodeled to serve the common good and to the benefit and freedom of all the population,” Socialist International reported on its website. The disgraced former Socialist ruler did not specifically say whether or not his policies as the Prime Minister of now-bankrupt Greece should serve as the global model.

However, Papandreou had plenty of excuses for the problems, blaming the stunning collapse of the Greek economy and the subsequent need for bailouts on citizens refusing to pay enough taxes. He called it “plain robbery” because refusing to hand over more money to the bankrupt state was denying the government money it could have spent on more welfare schemes.

Also to blame for the Greek tragedy, according to Papandreou, was the fact that Greeks were investing their money outside of Greece in supposed “tax havens.” He called for international “regulation” of so-called “tax havens,” generally sovereign countries that offer lower tax rates and are sometimes used to hide money from governments.

Of course, like all socialist rulers, Papandreou said his predecessors were partly to blame for Greece’s implosion, too. "We were a mismanaged country and when I took over the whole country was burdened with a huge deficit and debt, that was of course because we had easy lending, and bad governance of it," he added.

Socialist International adopted a wide range of resolutions at the 24th Congress. Most called for more government at all levels, bigger welfare schemes, wealth redistribution, and other socialist programs. Despite the controversies surrounding its host and other members, however, the organization continues to expand its influence.

President Obama appointed a senior Socialist International official, Carol Browner, as his administration’s so-called “climate czar.” He also recently presented the Medal of Freedom to Dolores Huerta of Democratic Socialists of America, a member of Socialist International with deep ties to Obama.

More recently, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was in South Africa praising the ANC and pledging billions of dollars to its regime. And if supporters of liberty and free markets do not resist, the influence of Socialist International and its members such as the ANC will only continue to expand — along with the devastation associated with socialism.
